Continuing projects I had in mind in 1990s, to create widely available 3D virtual reality authoring software. Realmware had best beginning on most powerful technology (Microsoft's .Net), so investing my time, knowledge, and money to bring Visual3D.Net to fruition. Working with clients for simulation, visualization, and games.

Representative projects: Lockheed-Martin digital imaging; FirePrograms automated database conversion from competitor; brought them into NEMSIS compliance on their first responder's software; salvaged a major botched job by a different contractor; performance tuning. 3D Research and software design work that eventually led me to seek out Realmware.

Thanks John, Erik, Andrew, et al for making a stab at "The Postscript of Multimedia". You were the geniuses. I just knew what I wanted. By the time we spun off from Apple, the details were deeper than I could help directly with. I was glad to do whatever technical tasks I could, on and around that great foundation.

Computer Products Division - startup groundwork for Kaleida Labs joint venture with IBM: I went to Apple with the intention of inspiring the creation of a superior alternative to Microsoft's horrible early multimedia implementation. I helped reframe what was going to be an enhanced QuickTime class library, into a full-fledged dynamic language for multimedia (akin to later technologies Java and portions of Microsoft .Net), by suggesting John Wainwright as source of language expertise; evaluated Apple Research projects for inclusion in the joint venture; primarily I was a cheerleader, nudging and encouraging deeper engineering talents, so that my peers (application developers) would have a 21st century platform, melding logic and interactive media, on which to develop multimedia apps.
