Tope Oni holds a Ph.D degree in the Sociology of Complex Organisations, after his Bachelor degree which he completed with First Class honours from University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) in Nigeria. Tope Oni has acquired some 30 years post-graduation experience, consisting of 7 years in university teaching and research, 17 years in management consulting (which took him through Coopers & Lybrand, Price Waterhouse and Ernst & Young), and 6 years hands-on HR management experience in First Bank and United Bank for Africa, two of the leading banks in the Nigerian banking industry. After his banking career, he resumed his career in Management Consulting as MD/CEO of Karis Consulting.In his consultancy career, Dr Oni has handled scores of consultancy assignments that span through strategy development, organisation restructuring, change management, manpower planning, manpower audit, job evaluation, HR due diligence, compensation survey, recruitment, training and HR systems development including the development of Job Descriptions Manual, Job Competencies, Key Performance Indicators and Performance Management system, grade and salary structure, job evaluation, among others. His clientele spreads across all key industrial sectors in private and public institutions. He is prolific in training and manpower development for organisations in all sectors of the economy, for all classes of staff, having undergone the international Train-the-Trainer course of PricewaterhouseCoopers
