About Peter Colon

With a strong background in the financial sector and insurance risk management, I launched my first insurance-tech platform Jibe Health in 2009. My goal was simple, serve the underserved millions of Americans without health benefits. I was capped by the traditional insurance marketing...door to door and referrals. I knew in order to scale sales I needed an elite sales workforce, great products and I needed an online system. It was quite a journey, especially during the turbulent 2008 economic crisis and the 2010 PPACA (Patient Protection Affordability Care Act). But thankfully both of these important market changes enabled me to capitalize on an unprecedented opportunity. Jibe Health went on to be one of 17 insure-tech platforms directly contracted with CMS/ HHS as a WBE Web Broker Entity for Healthcare.gov ACA subsidized and qualified health plans and enrolled over 26,000 members throughout the US with over 200 employees. A decade later in 2018, I decided it was time to develop a platform that specialized in Private Health Plans as a solution to the ACA standardized health insurance pitfals and follow the Trumpcare ACHA 2017 (American Health Care Act). I Co-Founded Stress-Free Health Options, powered by Selecta Insider DM, which is a private marketplace for healthcare, not just health insurance. With our cloud-based InsurTech and HealthTech and advertising platforms, as well as our digital web insurance broker platform, we were able to connect consumers who have lost coverage, self-employed and small businesses find Clear- Affordable- and USABLE health benefits. https:/.stressfreehealthoptions.com I head the entire organization bringing a strong skill set of leadership, mental toughness, and a unique set of core values acquired early on in the United States Navy. Received the Navy / Marine Corp Achievement Medal and Battle Efficiency Medals, and working with specialized teams enabled me to use my leadership abilities and applied them to the world of finance and insurance with tenures at AXA Equitable, Mass Mutual, BeamaLife, and JibeHealth. My leadership skills, business acumen, and insider’s knowledge of the insurance world combined with my vision of impactful technological applications within these old school marketing methods make for execution that packs a punch. I was blessed to have received inspiration and personal mentorship from some of America's most talented CEO's including George Feldenkrais – Perry Ellis CEO, and Manny Medina – Terramark Corporation.
