Worked with several teachers at three high schools in the Soo City area of Kagoshima prefecture. Focused mainly on the spoken part of English education. Through exposure to a natural speaker and pronunciation practice, the students gained a better understanding of the English language. They also benefited from exposure to cultures other than their own.

Lived and worked in a small village in rural Northwestern Zambia. Assisted the villagers with sustainable agriculture and forestry practices, community mobilization and HIV and AIDS education. Worked directly alongside both forestry and agricultural agents form the Zambian Government. Assisted in training new volunteers for the L.I.F.E. Program in both.
