Worked within the Azure Silicon Cloud Hardware Infrastructure and Engineering (SCHIE) organization to create systems, tools and processes to enhance data solutions for the worldwide silicon and hardware engineering organization.Led the 9 person security, infrastructure, and platforms team. Drove the security workload across the 6000 person organization, including compliance with Microsoft Secure Future Initiative. Provided program management, reporting, subject matter expertise and security engineering to resolve tens of thousands security action items.Owned the Azure DevOps tooling platform, including development of extensions, automation, and engineering tool development. Owned Azure infrastructure and Cloud infrastructure engineering for my immediate group and served and high level SME for the rest of the organization. Drove the AI/LLM security engineering for my team.Developed requirements for new products and features, translated them into technical approaches and specs, and provided oversight across multiple projects. Products were implemented in a polyglot of technologies, including TypeScript, Python, .Net, C#, kusto, Microsoft Azure, Power Platform, and AI/LLM and CoPilot integration.Drove special projects to deliver new data capabilities and analytic products within the worldwide hardware engineering organization.Me and my team were recognized multiple times with awards.

Developed solutions from conception to operations on the Microsoft stack. Projects lasted from 2 months to multiple years and normally involved working with the sales team to close a deal, requirements gathering, generating design documents and UI mockups, implementing the solutions in C#, HTML, and JavaScript, testing the solution, developing DevOps tooling and continuous release processes, and supporting the production release. I am typically a lead, with supporting a team of up to 20 cross-functional technologists (Dev/Test/UX/Docs and Ops)Selected projects include: Lead a team to create a multi-tenant cloud based collaboration environment for national health agencies to share data with the international communities. Implemented in AngularJS, ASP. NET, Azure AD and Azure SQL, this solution allows countries to share epidemiological and health data with the international community while retaining sovereignty over their data. I owned all technical management of the project, including sprint planning and backlog grooming, mentored the technical team, developed features, and owned the CI and release processes.Lead an international development team on a high-profile solution to enable a customer to screen job applicant's health conditions. Built in combination of ASP .NET MVC and Dynamics CRM, this system replaced a cumbersome paper process and decreased the average time to process a candidate from 18 months to 9 months, decreased the number of HIPAA violations by better restricting access to data, and reduced the number of nurses needed to review candidates by automating screening and communication tasks. In addition to direct project support, I am a lead mentor for our new hires, work with our management team to improve our recruiting process, organize readiness/training events, and contribute to training material in our technical domain.

Performed quality assurance on the Bing Maps vector data pipeline. My team produced the core geographic data structures for Bing Maps. We powered the directions, geocoding, and map imagery portions of the service. I was responsible for detecting processing errors in a dataset that attempted to represent the entire physical world. As part of my daily duties I wrote test plans, implemented test code, and built tools to support quality measurement and software testing. I developed testing solutions in technologies such as WCF, ASP .NET, Silverlight, SQL Server, and C#. I also mentored and trained new hires and interns on company procedures and technology, worked across teams and functional disciplines to resolve quality issues, and worked with development and program management personnel across multiple teams to define feature requirements and performance criteria.Selected Projects:Developed a tool to dynamically generate and display map tiles in a browser. Traditionally, testers used a Windows Forms tool to view the data structures produced by the vector data pipeline while end users ultimately viewed a map that was rendered into image tiles in a separate batch process, often resulting in differences between what the testers saw and the final product. I created a solution that reused the binaries from the batch process to render the tiles on-demand and loaded the resulting tiles into the Bing Maps JavaScript control, allowing testers to examine maps with binary fidelity to the final product.Tested the conversion of an enterprise grade extract-transform-load (ETL) GIS pipeline from ArcGIS to a SQL Server 2008. I developed a multitude of automated tests in C# and SQL to test different components of a pipeline. The resulting product reduced a 6 month refresh process to a 2 month refresh process, substantially improving the agility of the business and customer satisfaction with the freshness of our data.
