I was employed at Fjord Base - which holds Statoils main OCTG (Oil Country Tubular Goods) stock in Europe. I learned a lot about Statoil as an organization, it's brand and culture. The process taught me about the supply chain as a whole, and our function for the rigs projects.Communication towards customers (internal engineers and other project planners) as well as suppliers has been an important part of the job. I contributed to execute projects, managing the logistics for casings/tubings to be used in operations at the Norwegian Continental Shelf, as well as in international destinations, such as Tanzania, Mozambique, Canada and others. My job required a highly service-minded attitude and an eye for the individual customers need and preferences. I was employed during a large re-organization of the corporate and overall structure of the company - pursuing a more cost-efficient future with more convenient products and availability for the customers of the bank.
