He has worked on a wide range of national and international engineering hydraulics projects and has significant experience in hydraulic laboratories and consulting companies. Ali's focus is on technical design and numerical modelling, and he has developed advanced techniques for CFD modelling of pumping stations based on the ANSI/HI 9.8 guideline. These techniques have been used in the design and optimization of many seawater intakes and large pumping stations around the world.His experience includes numerous hydraulic applications, including hydropower schemes, stormwater systems, pumping stations, pipelines, and marine intake and outfall systems. Ali was instrumental in establishing Expert Water Modelling, a specialized engineering consultancy that provides hydraulic analysis, modelling, and design services to the water and wastewater industries.In 2013, Ali founded Expert Water CFD, an engineering consulting group focused on CFD modelling for the water and wastewater industries. He brings a wide range of analysis and design skills and a deep understanding of fundamental principles, along with a history of physical modelling, to his work in this field.
