The Cognitive Academy was formed to be a resource for teams across the company who needed help getting started with using cognitive technologies and artificial intelligence. This included curating code patterns, collecting internal success stories, and holding dedicated coaching/dev sessions for 100+ teams across various business units. I was invited to host workshops on cloud computing and artificial intelligence at Cognitive Week in Guadalajara, Mexico, an annual internal conference, in 2016 and 2017. During this time, we also built a platform for teams to automatically provision and deploy chatbots as the demand for conversational agents increased greatly. This cut development time from weeks to minutes and resulted in an estimated savings of $4+ million for the company. For the full year 2017, we achieved an overall Net Promoter Score of +72.
