Growing the bank’s business in the Nordics and Europe with special attention to paymentsTo support the bank’s ambitious growth journey in existing and new markets, I led the implementation of direct debit services in Sweden, Germany and Spain, proving valuable to attracting 150k new customers Germany in 9 months and reducing straight rollers on Swedish loans by 45%.In a rising interest rate market, competition for customer deposits increased. To diversify NOBA’s sources of funding and support our growth, I led a cross-functional team in the development and launch of new deposit products in several markets. These products attracted over 2 billion euros in customer deposits, while keeping the cost of capital down. As part of NOBA’s drive to be innovative and digital-only, I headed the open banking initiatives across four markets. Partnering with a third party provider, I leveraged Account Information Services to simplify customer onboarding, and Payment Initiation Services to streamline the customers’ invoice payments. Both initiatives boosted customer satisfaction, reduced manual tasks and received international recognition at the Open Banking Expo in London 2023. As banking became more regulated, I ensured the bank's compliance to industry rulebooks, ranging from Nordic and SEPA schemes, instant payments, PSD2 and local regulatory requirements.

Managing Tietoevry’s product portfolio for payments and financial messaging.After the Tietoevry merger, product portfolios were overlapping. I developed and implemented a product convergence roadmap, aligning our business architecture and product strategy. I collaborated closely with the management team, engineering teams and architects to anchor and integrate our new product suite. This effort removed inefficiencies in product development, establishing a cohesive, joint product suite aligned with Tietoevry’s direction.As part of a new product organization, I created and executed on a comprehensive product strategy. I developed a clear roadmap, split it into epics, and aligned it with the release planning. I ensured clear communication of the strategy and roadmap across the organization. This increased visibility into expected deliveries, giving higher customer satisfaction and stronger team commitments to milestones.As a subject matter expert in payments, I was frequently involved in international sales cases. In dialog with customers, I secured well-defined requirements, and provided input to pricing and delivery timelines.

Building and implementing a new payment engine for cross-border payments, aimed at the Northern European market, operating on a SaaS platform.I led a team of business analysts and architects, managed the requirements in Jira and prepared work packages for the development teams in Norway and India. The goal was to deliver a complete payment value chain with a new payment engine to a large Nordic bank.In a pre-study with a major European bank, I had functional responsibility for Nordic clearing and instant payments. I analyzed the requirements by planning and conducting customer workshops. I proposed solutions that complied with industry standards and that met customer expectations. I was a key player in securing the contract (>5 MEUR).

This was a voluntary position in the big band that play in at NHH. I controlled the finances, kept accounts and set a budget. I see this as a necessary and important complement to my studies, as I got the chance to apply theory into practice, as well as hands-on experience.
