I consider myself more of a technical storage evangelist rather than a sales engineer. I love teaching folks what I know in a way they can understand and leverage, not just marketing regurgitation. I am a story teller at heart, translating “tech speak” and “marketecture” to real world value and use cases, why it matters and assisting customer to focus on the right questions to ask. I have found in my extensive experience that if a customer understands the actual value of what you’re representing they will sell themselves and I become the mere facilitator. I take the time to understand what the customer needs and wants, what their pain points are and have the gift to be able to cut through any marketing BS show them how what I represent actually addresses each of their concerns and needs.
