I am a Master's Level clinical social worker and therapist working at the intersections of mental health and social justice. Though I am passionate about treating substance use in teens and young adults, I treat individuals of all ages with diverse goals and challenges. I also have experience treating depression, anxiety, and insomnia. I also seek to weave into all my work attention to the impact of gender, race, class, sexuality and culture on the way we all see the world. I utilize a nonjudgmental and person-centered approach, utilizing elements of psychodynamic and narrative therapy to help clients rewrite their stories.During my graduate education, I was selected for UMB's Substance Use Disorders Interventions Fellowship (SUDIF), for outstanding social work students passionate about substance use treatment and other addictive behaviors. Prior to my career in mental health, I worked in broadcasting and music journalism, where I was recognized for team leadership and creative content development. My professional experience in both media and human service has always been motivated by a passion for people and storytelling.
