I am a second year Human Development and Family Sciences undergraduate student at Oklahoma State University with an option of Child and Family Services. Pursing a degree in Child and Family Services gives me the opportunity to be a Child Life Specialist. As a Child Life Specialist my role is to help children and families as they go through traumatic events while in the hospital. The skills that I have acquired while being employed at the Oklahoma Wondertorium will allow me to be a successful Child Life Specialist. Communicating, interacting, and being responsible for children in a hands on structured environment where play is highly encouraged are skills that I have obtained and will incorporate into my field of occupation.
