As a loan processor, I evaluated students' FAFSA information and respective enrollment statuses to determine their eligibility for both federal and private student loans. I utilized UW-Madison's internal information system to process loans from different loan applications and troubleshoot errors as they arose. Customer service was a significant responsibility. I communicated to students and parents daily, explaining how the financial aid system works and counseling them about their next steps to ensure they can cover the significant cost of higher education.

My internship required heavy research and networking skills, and local real estate market knowledge. I worked on multiple projects including evaluating potential investment properties in the Milwaukee sub-market using cap rates and market data. I also completed a 5 mi-radius market analysis for undeveloped parcels in Mequon, WI, and outlined potential plans for undeveloped Mequon land using zoning codes and communicating with City Planner. My general research was focused on finding REIT investors in southeastern WI, locating appropriate industrial/office spaces, and acquiring mailing lists using Costar and GIS for different brokers at the firm. Internally, I reworked Management Time Sheets for more accurate reporting of billable & nonbillable hours for employees. I also created and distributed 600 marketing pieces including flyers, postcards, & emails advertising listed properties for sale/lease.

In this role, I managed the weekly Pewaukee Farmers Market by acquiring and directing local vendors on-site for two years. I also assisted the President by coordinating eight networking events for local professionals and small businesses. My marketing efforts were in the form of social media posts and e-blasts that promoted over 30 Chamber of Commerce events to 2000 people. I also arranged the Pewaukee 4th of July Parade by gathering over 80 participants for 3 years.
