During this 6 week research project I conducted research independently researching Carbon Capture Storage (CCS), reporting to Professor Jon Gibbins, Centre Director of the UK Carbon Capture and Storage Research Centre. I developed quantitative models of chemical species flow in amine-PCC systems using a range of thermodynamic methods and also analysed complex datasets to extract meaningful insights and trends. Producing a report containing recommendations on the removal of by-products of solvent degradation in CCS with industrial relevance, also creating and presenting a poster disseminating this work at the 2024 SURE Showcase event.
