A 2020 study from a leading scholar in school finance found that the U.S. underinvests in public schools by nearly $150 billion annually.To end this unacceptable status quo, those who acknowledge its reality – myself and all of us – must speak up more and must do more to end it.Per Pupil will be a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that works to provide what’s necessary for public schools – that is, funding for successful educational and life outcomes for children.

Responsible for managing phone interviews as part of the Admissions process for City Teaching Alliance (formerly known as Urban Teachers), including the completion of a significant number of phone interviews for the City Teaching Alliance program, as well as managing staff members who support the phone interview process. Support the final interview process as a senior evaluator. Support a wide variety of recruitment efforts and events, partner with the Recruitment team to support applicants, and participate in application reviews.

Saga Education is a nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming American public education. Saga drives the expansion of the nationally recognized innovation of high-dosage, intensive daily tutoring, where tutoring is a part of the regular school day for students as a scheduled class period, at no cost to them or their families. We partner with district public schools to provide students the opportunity to work every day with a qualified, engaging tutor who tailors instruction to the needs of two students at a time. Our mission is to improve student achievement, to enhance student and family connection to school, and to bring talent into under-resourced districts by personalizing education.

Maine State Tutor Corps partners with Maine's highest-need rural public schools and districts to implement high-dosage, in-school, professional mathematics tutoring programs. The programs, embedded into a school's regular day and year, are designed to fundamentally turnaround the mathematics performance of entire grades of students, while also preparing students to enter into and succeed in their postsecondary education.

My main responsibility in this position was to compose a handbook that codified the design and implementation of the Match Corps tutoring program.

I led a team of 11 Corps Members at Oak Ridge Elementary School. The Corps Members serve as tutors, mentors, and role models for their students.

I played a key role in the design and implementation of a math tutoring program in Lawrence, MA.
