After working in the construction industry over the past few years, I knew I wanted more! Now I want to build on my 'out of the box' ideas and designs to benefit as many people as I can, so I am throwing myself deep into my studies to learn just how to succeed. An engineering degree in electrical and electronics (with a minor in mechatronics) was the way to go! Just imagine all the creative ideas I could help discover with my potential colleagues when we join my previously learnt construction skills with our electrical and electronic knowledge. After a year at Griffith College studying Engineering, I transferred to Griffith University on the Gold Coast. I have already begun to discover how a comprehensive, theory based understanding of engineering fundamentals and sciences can help solve complex problems, such as when applying a conceptual understanding of mathematics in an effective manner. By using a wide range of reviewed research throughout my studies and in future employment, I am continually honing my skills to be discerning when critically evaluating their usefulness and reliability. I am thoroughly enjoying gaining a knowledge and understanding of engineering concepts and theories, and am looking forward to being able to apply them to my future engineering experiences and employment.As such, I can't wait and want to learn from other skilled professionals whilst I continue to complete my studies!
