As a founder and managing director of Avantgarde Labs, I have gained many practical experiences in the application of machine learning, natural language processing, and knowledge technologies in the last ten years.I am serving as a board member in the special interest group for Artificial Intelligence of BITKOM, and I was part of the program board of the Big Data and AI Summit 2018 and 2019. Currently I play an active part in the editorial board for a BITKOM publication with more than 40 authors that will cover all elements of Artificial Intelligence, illustrating their potential of adding value in enterprise applications. Having served as an independent expert for the European Commission in Horizon 2020, I feel confident with assessing technical, economic, societal, and ethical aspects surrounding Artificial Intelligence. My academic background is in economics, mathematical statistics, and philosophy.
