About Torsten Heidemann

I am heading the Infrastructure & Energy team at Berenberg. Berenberg is offering through several debt funds Junior Debt/ Mezzanine/ Unitranche for Digital Infrastructure (Data Centers, Fibre and 5G) and Battery Storage, Solar and Onshore Wind Deals in OECD countries through the lifecycle of a project: Late Stage Development, Construction and Operational Phase.Our product is very flexible, for example we find ways to finance projects without PPAs which is an important aspect nowadays as good priced PPAs are not easy to get.Our Junior Debt/ Mezzanine enables e.g. project developers to finance their projects until COD or even longer and bring them in the position to sell their projects for a higher price to the final investors. But our product is also of interest to equity investors to bring extra leverage into their projects. I have 19 years of project finance experience and 14 years in the Renewables sector. The steady development of the industry is thrilling and I love to work every day on the energy transition. Having an Engineering and a Business degree let me build bridges between clients, banks and advisors, especially in project finance transactions. I like solving complex problems as well as quick decision making.
