I have spent six years in the telecommunication industry. I began as a sales person and later became a project coordinator for small to large projects for mediums size businesses. I began my law enforcement career working in a state prison. Later I moved to a county jail and then to a city jail. I joined the police department in 2005 as a police officer where I spent five years working as a patrol officer. I was selected as a K9 Officer in 2009 and worked on patrol with my partner until 2015 when I was promoted to police sergeant. I remained on patrol for three more years and then was selected to be an Internal Affairs Sergeant where I investigated employee misconduct generated from complaints made by community members and internal staff. I also supervised the training division and ensured that personnel where compliant with state and federal training requirements. I remained in that position for two years until I was promoted to lieutenant. In the lieutenant position I am responsible in managing government awarded grants, purchasing new training technology and ensuring department websites are up-to-date.
