In this role, I focused on the people-side of change and helped people navigate changes in business processes, job roles, systems and technologies, and organization structures as they related to the work of the Global Supply Chain Portfolio Management Office. I acted as a coach for senior managers and leaders in helping them fulfill their role as change sponsors and change agents. I also provided direct support to executive sponsors and project teams to integrate change management activities and strategy into project plans and supported the execution of plans by employee- facing managers and business leaders.Responsibilities and tasks in this role included:Using a structured change management approach and methodology for the people side of change caused by projects and change efforts. Developing a set of actionable and targeted change management plans including communication plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan, training plan and resistance management plan.I conducted change assessments, evaluated results, and presented findings in a logical and easy-to-understand manner. I created and managed measurement systems to track adoption. Additionally, I consulted and coached program managers and teams on strategies to increase adoption and created standards of what type of change management tools work best in various situations. I continuously developed my change management skills through books, classes and articles. I also created resources and training for others to increase change management effectiveness throughout their teams and organizations.With my communication skills and ability to articulate messages to a variety of audiences both vertically and horizontally I was able to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal. Having demonstrated the ability to lead in ambiguous situations and determine a path forward, I was able to take difficult stands under pressure and facilitate effective decision making in tough situations.
