    Rehua Nuku Ora journeys to remote communities to offer complimentary healthcare services to everyone.Our dedicated team includes specialists such as doctors, nurses, an ear specialist, and a foot specialist, all focused on serving communities in need.We collaborate with rongoā Māori healers who provide mirimiri (massage), karakia (prayers), and healing practices to support all individuals.Our mission is to tackle the barriers to healthcare access, particularly the shortage of general practitioners (GPs), which can result in individuals waiting up to four weeks for an appointment. For those living in remote areas, traveling for care can be both challenging and costly.Our mobile health service is designed to be adaptable, catering to the unique needs of each community. We strive to cultivate and sustain meaningful relationships with local iwi, hauora groups, PHOs, and various health organizations to ensure we can assist whānau in rural areas who require support. With our small team, we currently serve 10 locations across the Mataatua rohe, operating 3-4 days a week.What I cherish most about this work is hearing from whānau about the positive impact we’re making.
