Freelance Systems Administrator / IT Consultant occasional project based work as focused on providing advice in tailor made systems including design, specification and execution of projects with Systems Administration and IT support work in between projects.Responsibilities:• Logwatch and systems monitoring with Nagios and Munin graphs including using Sensord, Smartd, Watchdog, Tuned and various other custom scripts to be used with Crond to automate system tasks • System updating with Ansible Puppet, Munki and Reposado, licensing updating• E-mail account and mailing list creation deletion on Linux and later Exchange Server 365• User Account creation, deletion, password recovery using custom shell scripts - Linux Administration• Connectivity Issue Resolving, lsof, netstat, tcpdump ping traceroute and other TCP/IP tools• DNS / DHCP Internal / external updating, creating / editing configuration scripts and DNS zone files• IT documentation, using Trac creating documentation for systems administrators, technical staff and the end users.• Backup – Recovery, Shell, Pert, Python scripting creating various scripts for the backup system• Miscellaneous Support, Troubleshooting. Problem Solving and most of the above over SSH.• Occasional Remote Desktop Support with VNC Screensharing and remote desktop over VPN for both Windows and Mac OS X problems.
