I’m not your typical HR guy. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve diligently collected the standard alphabet soup: MBA, PMP, PCC, SCP, and GPHR. (One more, and I get a free pizza.) And for over 20 years, I’ve led people and projects in the Americas, Europe, and Asia. Across industries, in companies ranging in size from 50 to 50,000 employees, I’ve helped leaders change culture, enhance performance, and optimize processes as a CHRO and a specialty player in L&D, OD, PM, M&A, and Talent Management.But let’s face it. Plenty of employees, consultants, and coaches have similar training and experience. The difference is in the HOW.I’m a purposeful contrarian. Sure, there’s wisdom in crowds, but sometimes they’re flat-out dumb. I tactfully call out complacency and guard against groupthink. I look around corners, gut-check assumptions, and challenge convention. I’m passionate about slashing bureaucracy, rethinking old thinking, and ruthlessly simplifying processes. That HOW moves organizations and, I hope, the HR profession forward. My results have appeared in book form, on the TEDx stage, and in numerous articles and academic papers. I’ve been quoted in publications such as Fast Company, Forbes, Fox Business News, and the HuffPost, as well as profiled in the book Magnificent Leadership.
