Continuing my career, I was given the opportunity further advance my career by working at Great River Energy (GRE) within the Infrastructure Operation Center as a Operational Specialist, hired through Robert Half Technologies. My daily functions are as follow:- Proactively monitors, responds to, and coordinates recovery to events related to service degradation or disruption. - Researches, resolves, and responds to events in accordance with current service level agreements and standards.- Updates and tracks detailed incident information in ticketing application following operational procedure. - Coordinates escalation with internal and external resources required to bring issues to resolution.- Manages appropriate customer and business partner communications. - Acts as the recovery manager for major incident and disaster recovery (DR) efforts partnering with leadership for additional support as appropriate.- Acts as a central point of contact for network related issues to provide repeated positive interactions.- Evaluates and determines most appropriate action and resources to act on customer needs.- Provides on-call support for emergencies outside of normal office hours by telephone and/or on-site, as defined in IT on-call procedures.- Participates in projects that enhance the quality or efficiency of NOC support offerings, standard equipment, and standard software portfolio. - Participates in divisional projects to represent NOC/SOC needs and prepares for on-going support. - Facilitates and provides input for change management process including tools, procedures, and communication process.- Manages security operations by enforcing security guidelines, monitoring logs and events and escalating security incidents as appropriate.- Monitors and responds to alert notifications from security tools including physical security systems.

As I continue my career in Information Security, I joined Atomic Data as a full-time employee. The Network Operation Center (NOC) provided support 24/7. Under general guidance from Network engineers, I monitored critical networks; from web hosting to individual switches, to temperature controls. As a NOC technician, I am the first line of defense when critical networks go down, by providing troubleshooting, notifying the client, and escalating to Network, System, On-Site engineers. I also follow with all Internet Service providers and Power company on root causes. In addition to my roles, I provided day to operation, end user troubleshooting, and perform hourly systems checks, and daily physical security checks. I assisted with monitoring security events such as Denial Of Services attacks, Phishing Attacks, Spams, and determining rouge machines on the network. After many years working for the USDA-NRCS as a Biologist, I rediscovered my passion for technology. I felt my true calling and obtained my first position as a Security Analyst working at Assurant, hired through Addeco.In my role, I identified security gaps associated with Identity Access Management within application, file shares, servers, and databases. I evaluated Assurant assets to identify risks with end user access and ensure regulatory compliance and internal/external audit. I reviewed and assured the integrity of users’ access through separation of duties (SOD) to meet per SOX, SSAE16, PCI, and MAR requirements. I served as Point of Contact (POC) for Identity Access Management reporting and coordinated with managers and set workload and deadlines. I formatted reports, provided distribution of Identity Access for attestation, collecting and compiling Identity Access attestations, implement removals/modification of user’s access, and validating reports results. I performed peer-to-peer quality checks of Identity Access controls. I tracked and documented Identity Access procedures, tools use for generating reports, and other evidence relates security and compliance needs.I utilized several tools for Identity Access Management such as: Microsoft suites, Window Sever, LDAP, PowerShell, and Mainframe.

As I gained experiences and skill, I was promoted to provide statewide support for the United States Department of Agriculture - Natural Resources Conservation Services (USDA-NRCS) easement program. The related programs include: Conservation Reserve Program, Agriculture Conservation Easement Program, Reinvest in Minnesota - Wetland Reserve Program, and the Farm Bill.In my role, I supported the Easement Team at the State Office and served as the Point of Contact with easements as it relates to management, restoration, compliance, and development of tracking tools. I worked with local partners on monitoring efforts, restorations, and management on easements held by the United States. Develop statewide guidance, fact sheet, and policy for monitoring, management, and compliance, and provide state wide training. I provided day to day support, performed internal audits, assisted with the process and development of million dollars contracts, report to management statistics and statewide issues or concerns, and managed two employees under my role. In addition to my role, I served as the Asian Pacific Islander(API) for the USDA-NRCS in Minnesota. I provided annual API training to local, area, and state employees. I assisted API landowner(s) with interpretation of USDA process and policies.

Due to the closure of my office, I was placed into a new location. Similar to my previous role as a Wetland Biologist, I served on Minnesota SWAT Wetland team. I provided statewide assistance compared to region. In my role, I performed Wetland Determinations and Wetland Mitigation for landowner(s) participating in the Farm program. In addition, I administered Wetland Compliance to protect natural and degraded wetlands and its surrounding ecosystems. In lieu of wetland compliance, I completed Wetland Banking and Credits as part of the State of Minnesota initiatives. I also provided wetland compliance and policy training to local, state, and federal employees. I was a trainer for the USDA-NRCS Wetland Determination and Delineations. My daily tasks involved assisting Field Offices with interpretations of wetland policy and procedures, developing internal policy and procedures, working with ARCGIS to review natural resource concerns, risks, and mitigation, utilized ARGIS and its tool to provide best management practices to address resource and concerns, and assisting with Identifying wetland plant species.
