Profile bio

About Michèle Touchette

I am a senior R&D engineer currently working at a Vancouver-based startup company, designing a permanently implantable structural heart repair device for treating mitral regurgitation. My background is in mechanical engineering with a Master's in biomedical engineering from UBC. Product design, prototyping, CAD modeling, machine shop work, and working closely with vendors are all daily engineering challenges that I enjoy and excel at. I leverage my strengths as a team player and as an excellent communicator on a daily basis with our relatively small, diverse, and unique team. In addition to my current position in the cardiovascular setting I also have experience in the clinical and OR setting, the academic research environment, in orthopaedics, in medical imaging, as well as in quality engineering.

Listed skills include Engineering, Microsoft Office, Solidworks, Project Management, and 27 others.
