As an Assistant Program Officer, I had to provide support in project proposal development, desktop research, data collection, project management, and implementation, program/ activities monitoring, stakeholders and client consultation, data collection, survey, reporting, awareness-raising, IEC material development, project progress evaluation, and report writing.

I was one of the 32 independent monitors who visited government hospitals, healthcare centers, private clinics for the post-training assessment of national scale up of the application of 7.1% Chlorhexidine solution in the newborn umbilical cord and assessment of the IMCI Corner of District Hospitals and Upazila Health Complex (Khagrachari and Rangamati Hill Districts). I interviewed doctors, nurses, and health care providers to assess whether they are using the medicine. I visited the local pharmacies to check the availability of the medicines in the local medicine market. Also, I had to visit the IMCI corners and check whether they are providing health services to the children and keeping the record as per guidelines. Most importantly, I talked with the parents and tried to find out that whether they are aware of the application of the medicine in the umbilical cord of their new born children.
