These contracts aided the roll out of government support initiatives to businesses in the Queenstown Lakes area, across the Otago region, as well as nationally through Aotearoa New Zealand. Initiatives included the COVID-19 & Tourism Transition Funds ($6m+), the Tourism Communities Fund ($23m+), and the Innovation Programme for Tourism Recovery ($9.9m+).
