On the first day of my job as a design intern, I had a moment of panic when I realized I didn't even know how to turn on my computer. I was a sophomore in college, newly enrolled in the Fine Arts program, and had never before used a Mac computer. Three years later, my internship concluded, not only did I know how to turn on the computer but I also had proudly designed a fleet of commuter vehicles that traveled throughout the Puget Sound. After receiving my BFA, I worked as a Designer and Art Director in the transportation, fashion, and home decor industries in addition to running a successful photography business. I have nearly 20 years experience collaborating with, listening to, and implementing the ideas of others into a tangible product. My goal in any interaction is that you would leave feeling heard, understood, and encouraged while receiving a design, photograph, or instruction that meets your requirements and exceeds your expectations.As a designer, I enjoy working within an established brand whether that means adopting a style guide that's already been defined or helping to hone that identity for a newer business. It's not uncommon for me to get so focused on a job that hours have passed and I don't even realize it. As a mom of three and a military spouse of 12+ years, my superpower is finding a solution to any given problem. Even if I don't know the answer, I'm confident in my ability to quickly track it down and get it done, regardless of the circumstances. I have lived in three out of four corners of the US in addition to three European countries. In each place, I've been blessed to make local friends who have become like family, which means I always have a reason to return. I firmly believe that even when circumstances get tough, we can always find a bit of humor and goodness in life!During my free-time, you can find me cheering on my children, eating my husband's delicious cooking, and reading in the sunshine.
