About Massood Towhidnejad
Massood Towhidnejad is a tenure full professor of software engineering and chair of the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science department at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He has been involved in research activities in the areas of software engineering, software quality assurance and testing, autonomous systems, and human factors. He has collaborated with NASA, NOAA, FAA, VERITAS Corp., Motorola Corp., Carrier Corp., and Lockheed Martin. He secured about nine million dollar funding as PI and over nine million dollar as Co-PI. He published over eighty technical reports, journal articles, book chapters, and conference proceedings. In addition to his university position, he served as the President of MAK Group Software Consulting and Assessment company. Previously he served as Visiting Researcher at Federal Aviation Administration, Faculty Fellow at NASA Goddard Flight Research Center, and Software Quality Assurance Manager at Carrier Corporations. He has contributed as an author for Graduate Software Engineering Reference Curriculum (GSwERC), Software Engineering Competency Model (SWECOM), Certified Software Development Associate (CSDA) training material, Body of Knowledge and Curriculum to Advance Systems Engineering (BKCASE), Graduate Reference Curriculum for System Engineering (GRCSE). He is an ABET program evaluator for Computing Accreditation Commission.
