Placement as part of Dental Core Trainee 3 in Oral and Maxillofaical Surgery for NHS Education for Scotland.Based in Monklands General Hospital.Ward duty, First on call OMFS for Lanarkshire (Covering Monklands, Hairmyres, Forth Valley Royal, Wishaw General Hospital.

I carried out 6 months of hospital based dental training as a member of the Restorative Department at Glasgow Dental Hospital; working in the Fixed and Removable Prostodontic, Periodontal and Endodontic Units.Within the role I carried out secondary care assessments of referred patients, alongside endodontic, periodontal, denture, crown and bridge work.

I carried out a 6 month rotation based in the Royal Alexandra Hospital, Paisley at the beginning of my DCT1 post. WIthin this post I carried out treatment within the Public Dental Service for Paediatric and Special Care patients and completed my Inhalation Sedation training. I carried out treatment under general anasthetic as well as domiciliary visits alongside other treatment coverd by Greater Glasgow and Clyde Public Dental Service.

I completed my Dental Vocational Training as a dentist working in Dentalplus; a busy dental practice in Newport-On-Tay, Fife. Within the role I carried out a wide range of dental treatment and gained satisfactory completion of my Vocational Training.
