Pressure distribution measurements on a rigid asymmetric spinnaker in a wind tunnel.This project consisted in measuring pressures on an asymmetric spinnaker in the wind tunnel of the University of Auckland. This make part of a partnership between three universities (Sailing Fluids, http://www.sailingfluids.org/), The University of Auckland, The Ecole Navale (Brest) and The University of Newcastle. The spinnaker used is a downwind sail of a 33rd America's Cup boats design.The main purpose was to compare experimental results to CFD calculation previously done. Parameters from the numerical computation had been used to set up the experiments.
