I obtained my Bachelor’s of Arts in Education from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville majoring in Kinesiology and a minor in Biological Sciences with a concentration in Pre-Health programs. I am onto taking my third gap year to gain more health care experiences and strengthen my application before physician assistant school.During my time off, I have worked as a certified nursing assistant at the Duke University Hospital on a general surgery/trauma unit. I have also worked as a medical assistant at East Tennessee Children’s Hospital Urgent Care. I am currently working as a surgical medical assistant for MOHS surgery at Knoxville Dermatology Group.As I prepare for another cycle of physician assistant school applications, I am actively looking for shadowing opportunities near the Knoxville Metropolitan Area to expand my knowledge and gain more exposure on various specialties. Lastly, I hope to hear back from PA schools this year!
