Quality Control Inspector
Current• Perform meticulous visual and dimensional inspections on incoming, in-process, and finished components, ensuring they meet specified quality standards and requirements.• Utilize advanced measurement tools and techniques, such as calipers, micrometers, and CMMs (Coordinate Measuring Machines), to accurately verify dimensions, tolerances, and geometrical features.• Thoroughly review technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications to ensure components align with design requirements and tolerances.• Conduct various tests, such as mechanical, electrical, and functional tests, to verify the performance and reliability of components and systems.• Identify and document non-conforming parts or deviations from specifications. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to determine appropriate corrective actions.• Investigate the root causes of non-conformance issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) to prevent recurrence.• Conduct thorough first article inspections (FAIs) on new components or assemblies to validate their compliance with design intent before production.• Provide training and guidance to production teams on quality requirements, inspection techniques, and adherence to quality control processes.• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and supply chain, to achieve alignment on quality objectives and drive quality improvements.• Ensure adherence to relevant industry regulations, standards, and certifications (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001) to maintain quality compliance.• Apply lean manufacturing principles to eliminate waste, optimize processes, and enhance overall quality and efficiency.• Establish and maintain product traceability by documenting serial numbers, lot numbers, and other identifiers to track components throughout their lifecycle.
