They were trying to re-finance when a big bank pulled the plug and sold their house. The couple sued the bank and the new owner of their home. The trial court threw the lawsuit out at the beginning and did not give the couple a chance to prove their case. They hired me to file an appeal. On appeal, I re-imagined the case, developed new legal theories, and got their case reinstated. The couple kept their home and had the chance to prove to a jury that the big bank treated them unfairly. A favorite challenge was a 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to raise money for the Los Angeles LGBT Center. Finished the ride 4 years in a row. After I turned 50, I completed two Ironman 70.3 races. Challenging myself physically has been a life-long pursuit, and nothing inspires me more than being told I can't do something.Much of my time is devoted to ensuring that attorneys facing significant challenges find opportunities to advance and attain their goals.
