I have over 40 years TPE331 engine experience ranging from mechanic, to crew chief, to shop manager, to factory field service engineer, to TPE Training LLC. owner / trainer. I have been involved with all aspects of TPE 331 engine maintenance from on the wing line maintenance and trouble shooting to in the shop overhaul maintenance. No other TPE 331 trainer in the market today matches the experiences I have obtained in the last 40 plus years. I have written an easy to follow in depth line maintenance and familiarization training colored manuals I use in the onsite training classes. The training includes a hands on step by step linkage assembly and rigging procedure using a rigging mockup that includes an aircraft power lever and speed lever during the line maintenance class. The rigging training includes the use of a proprietary rigging kit I designed which makes the rigging assembly and adjustment much easier, faster and more accurate. The Fixed shaft TPE331 engine is a complex engine as a result a lot of miss information and misunderstanding currently exist within the market place regarding the TPE 331 engine. These issues frequently effected engine reliability and cost of operation in service . The cost savings issues are reviewed in class to reduce the financial impact on the operator.
