System Integration (Kimberly-Clark Corp.) Adhesive systems integration workPlant Power Distribution System Replacement (Long Lumber Co. Slocomb, Al.) – Provided electrical design and specifications to replace the 480VAC power distribution system for the Long Lumber Plant. This project included power distribution from the local utility to the entire plant including 52 motors, lighting and various other electrical loads.High Speed Container Labeler (Nordson Corp. Atlanta, GA) – Electrical design for upgraded High Speed Container Labeler for round containers that will increase possible throughput to 1500 CPM (Containers Per Minute) with 40 times higher resolution for adhesive control to allow for greater quality and decreased material cost.

Overdutied Switchgear Upgrade (G-P Cedar Springs, GA) – Electrical design and project management for the replacement of 10 overdutied MCC lineups. This included the checkout of over 100 motors and their controls in a time frame of only 8 days. Kiln Hot End MCC Replacement (G-P Cedar Springs, GA) – Electrical design and Project Management for the replacement of 5 overdutied MCC lineups and the relocation of these MCCs to a new MCC building. This project, which included over 70 motors and their controls, was implemented seamlessly without a significant production interruption.Plant Emissions Monitoring System Upgrade (G-P Cedar Springs, GA) – Electrical Design and Project Management for several projects that over the course of 2 years replaced/installed 8 continuous emissions monitoring systems that included data acquisitions and environmental reporting as well as interfacing with the main DCS controls system in the power generation area and the lime kiln area of the Cedar Springs paper mill.

Huggies Supreme Diaper Machine Re-build (K-C Beech Island, SC) – Electrical Design and Project Management for several sections of the modular diaper machine re-build. This machine outage was a 30 day rebuild with a one month start-up curve.K-C Beech Island Plant Process Information and HMI Contact (K-C Beech Island, SC) – Process information and HMI contact for the Beech Island plant for 18 Months. This included installation, maintenance and upgrades to the HMI computers, their networks and the process information system for the five diaper machines at the Beech Island facility.Diaper Machine Glue System Upgrade (K-C Beech Island, SC) – Project management for design and installation of 5 glue system upgrades for each of the diaper machines at the Beech Island facility. The new systems included metering control of the glue and how it was applied to the diaper, a wonderware (InTouch) HMI for controlling the system, and the first Control Logix PLCs at the Beech Island Facility. Machine E-stop and Guard Door Re-Design (K-C Beech Island, SC) – Electrical design and Project Management for the re-design of the diaper machine E-stop and design of the guard door circuit. This project included the installation of a centralized E-stop control cabinet that monitored the redundant wiring of each e-stop, coast stop, and guard door device. This new system also annunciated the status of each device to aid in troubleshooting.Diaper Machine Packaging HMI Installation (K-C Beech Island, SC) – Electrical design and Project Management for installation of 2 HMIs for the packaging end of the diaper machines.
