Back then I was a Senior Business Consultant at Katalyst in the MRM team and Taufiq joined as my junior in the team. Katalyst is a market development project implemented by Swisscontact that works to increase the incomes of the poor farmers of Bangladesh through various interventions. The MRM team of Katalyst measures the impacts of those interventions as well as regularly monitors their quality and progress. With his input and participation the MRM team has successfully designed and executed many impact assessment studies. Taufiq was also responsible for helping the MRM staff during various monitoring activities as well as during the analysis of the field data collected. The fresh enthusiasm that Taufiq brought to work was applaudable. His strong academic credentials made him a perfect match for the rigorous analytical work that MRM does. Based on his sound quality of work Taufiq was retained by Katalyst beyond his internship tenure as a full time business consultant at MRM in January 2017, where he stayed till the end of Katalyst's Phase 3 till March 31, 201.
