I was a part of the inspection Unit for the City’s West Overlay Division. Over the course of the summer my tasks were to scope roads, oversee the progress of the road construction, communicate with the site foreman and residents and evaluate compaction testing. Responsible for completing daily reports and to ensure the traffic control was being followed properly.

Arnprior

Working for the Parks and Recreation Department – maintain the parks (grass cutting, garbage disposal, cemetary cleanup); set-up and supervised the weekly Farmers Market; maintained the town baseball diamonds (level gravel, lined the area of play and grass cutting). Responsible for driving various Town vehicles including: Pick-up trucks, kubotos and tractors.

Smiths Falls

I was front line in dealing with boaters and tourists – helping navigate the locks and answering questions about the locks and their history. As well, general maintenance ofthe Park Canada property, including grass cutting, weed trimming and overall garbage retrieval. Upkeep of the infrastructure was required – painting of buildings, locks and railings.
