Resident Assistant/ Senior Resident Assistant

Resident Assistants are responsible for being examples for the campus community. They are expected to be role models 24/7 while upholding the campus' code of ethics. RAs organize, promote, and implement programs that build community and/or educate residents on various topics. The duties include, but are not limited to, community engagement, interaction, administrative responsibilities, security, mediation, emergency response, and crisis management. RAs are required to attend weekly meetings as well as establish availability through office hours and building rounds. The duties of a Senior Resident Assistant include the requirements of a Resident Assistant as well as added responsibilities, including but not limited to, extended time commitments during trainings and throughout the semester, assisting professional staff with training sessions, serving on a campus wide committee, attending bi-weekly Senior Resident Assistant meetings, organizing and implenting a campus wide program, added administrative responsibilites, supervising a night host staff of five, added programming responsibilities, as well as acting as the liaison between the student staff and the professional staff.
