I re-imagined community at Duolingo, ensuring seamless ties between the product, its product teams, and its users.Prior to that I led the go-to-market strategy and execution for Duolingo for Schools, a free platform that helps educators use Duolingo in their classrooms. Managed and supported a global community of teachers who use Duolingo to enhance their language instruction and foster a love of learning among their students.As part of the Schools team, I leveraged my skills in writing, communication, educational equity, and data analysis to create and distribute high-quality content, product, social, and community marketing campaigns that drove awareness, adoption, and retention of Duolingo for Schools. I also oversaw the public relations, conference participation, and demand generation efforts for the product, and collaborated with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a seamless user experience and feedback loop. In addition, I built and led the support function for Duolingo for Schools, and established cross-functional and multi-team systems and processes to facilitate communication, coordination, and collaboration.

Led the development and of support processes with Khan’s first paid-product partner organization. Coming from a background in education, I developed skills in support strategy and tools and trained others on both. I trained, coached, and served as product expert to support our team of agents who answer support tickets regarding usability questions, technical issues, and product feedback. I analyzed and synthesized qualitative and quantitative data to influence product and design roadmaps, as well as to improve support team performance. I was responsible for maintaining relevant sections of our internal and external knowledge bases. Perhaps most importantly, I served as a product specialist by advocating for users at all stages of project development, including identifying market opportunities, estimating impact of product changes, advising product and design decisions during construction, evaluating and reporting on impact post-launch, and identifying opportunities for iteration or improvement.
