Dr. Trace Fleming-Trice, DSW, LICSW-S (Alabama)/LICSW(Minnesota) she/herConsidered to be reasonably friendly and mostly harmless. Trace worked in the gender-based violence victim/survivor advocacy movement for close to 20 years prior to joining academia full time. Trace is a disarming presenter, who often uses humor to help tackle difficult conversations. She holds a Doctorate in Social Work from The University of Alabama. She received a Masters in Social Work from the University of New England in 2015 and BSW from Jacksonville State University. Trace is the founder of Self-Care For Advocates, an organization dedicated to supporting anti-violence advocate professionals with secondary trauma mitigation.Her research area seeks to understand the connections of workplace bullying and burnout in gender-based victim service organizations. Trace can be found at the Talladega College Social Work Department where she is an Assistant Professor and the Director of Field Education or at the Trice Cottage in Northeast Alabama, where she is helping to raise her heathen children (and several unruly cats) to be intersectional feminists with her charming husband, Bunny.
