D&I ARE MY JAM!Data and innovation has been an integral part of my career. I have always enjoyed working with data and currently work in the technology field. My liberal arts degree combined with my many years of working in IT provide me with a unique perspective from the traditional technology standards. I am a creative, analytical, detail-oriented self-starter and enjoy working with data in the benefits administration, accounting, electronic enrollment, and human capital management industries. It brings me great joy ensuring that the data being used is of high quality and accuracy implemented by the most up to date technology to maintain that data. I am also passionate about diversity and inclusion. In the 90s I grew up in the inner city and saw the gaps of economic growth and experienced my fair share of discrimination. Luckily, I had some great teachers who took me under their wing and showed me the way to potentially even out the playing field. My family and I strive to pay it forward by engaging in ways to improve diversity and inclusion by trying to advocate for our student athletes. In our free time, my husband and I enjoy helping disadvantaged student athletes from different backgrounds use athletics as a springboard to obtaining the coveted collegiate scholarship. I have also lead business resource groups at my previous employment spreading awareness to others about the Asian cultures and created opportunities of networking for my associates. My hope is that we are able to educate others about diversity, in turn improve inclusion, and more importantly build equity within the communities that we live in.
