I worked for Staffs Police for approx. 29 yrs as a fully operational front line shift working officer before taking a voluntary exit/early retirement package in Sept '13. My roles included dealing with the public at every level as Injured Parties, Witnesses or Offenders and I spent a considerable number of those years as a Traffic/Motorway Officer where I extended the everyday policing roles to dealing/investigating serious/fatal collisions and Traffic related offences alongside the everyday daily issues. During these years and roles I also liaised and worked with other outside agencies. During this employment on my days off and at my own expense, I trained to become a Driving Instructor which involved me working on a 6 month trainee licence for B.S.M. Since finishing with Staffs Police I was approached by a local company and agreed to assist them in covering some long term sickness post they had within their factory Picking and Packing orders within their warehouse.
