My duties included writing articles, editing & fact-checking staff work, researching policy issues, publishing content online, planning events, running social media accounts, maintaining an editorial calendar, developing and executing the communications strategy, managing staff, volunteers, and student interns, monitoring the budget, serving as liaison to the board, and training students and teachers.I joined ProCon.org on June 25, 2007 as a researcher and was promoted to Senior Researcher in Feb. 2011, Associate Editor in Feb. 2014, and Managing Editor in Feb. 2019. I was named an officer of the ProCon.org Board of Directors in 2017. My position at ProCon.org ended when Encyclopedia Britannica acquired the organization and moved operations to Chicago.As a representative of ProCon.org, I spoke about the role of civil discourse and critical thinking in creating informed voters at the Frontiers of Democracy conference at Tufts University, Constitution Day at the Reagan Library, and the California Civic Learning Student Showcase at the Nixon Library in 2018. I completed the FBI Citizens Academy and was selected as class speaker for the graduation. I am a member of the FBI Los Angeles Citizens Academy Alumni Association.

Researched and analyzed the policy context of current events for a nonprofit focusing on journalists writing about the Middle East; Wrote website content and maintained the organization’s databases.
