At the time of my appointment I was the youngest Branch Manager in the Company. I took on a branch that hadn't hit target in over 12 months - the branch exceeded target within the first month of my appointment, and continued to do so with my leadership. My responsibilities also included, people development, customer service, and accounts management.

I began my career at Signet as an Assistant Manager in Training (AMIT). This involved a structured in-house training programme and a written exam. I completed the training within 6 months and achieved the highest exam score to date at that time. I progressed to Assistant Manager and worked in many stores throughout the N.E. I also played a significant role in the opening of a flag-ship store.

This role was part of my degree course, and was a 12 month placement. Working alongside the Chief Auditor, I carried out audits within all areas of University business. This involved auditing accounts and practices within all University departments. I also played a part in several loss prevention investigations. I was given full ownership of a business development project which resulted in my recommendations being implemented.
