I loved my work as a communications controller for Hampshire Police, and gave it my all. It was interesting, fresh every day, and could be incredibly stressful, but I loved it. I've never had another job where I actually looked forward to going to work so much.I controlled police units on the radio for the Southampton City area - the busiest in Hampshire - as well as taking and responding to 999 calls from the public and emergency calls from other services.After an unexpected break, during which time I had my daughter, I returned to college to deal with some unfinished business with my A levels, and having completed this successfully, and met some fantastic friends into the bargain, I turned towards a science-based career.I thoroughly enjoyed my work at Donnington Laboratories, and met some lovely people there, but moved to my current post in order to spend more time with my daughter.I started the "Bishop's Certificate" course in 2007, and in 2008, after discussion from the course leader, came to feel that I was being called by God to Reader ministry within the church. The discernment process took a whole year, but last year I was accepted for training, and I have just completed the first year of the three year University course. And I've discovered that I love preaching!Specialties: Science and Christianity!
