Developing strategies & proposals to expand the Job Corps business portfolio.

I have been seeking full-time employment for nearly 5 months now and, in the interim of finding permanent employment, I am offering consulting services for Job Corps contractors.

Planning, organizing, developing, and overseeing eight (8) Job Corps Centers, located in Maine, New York, Iowa, Oklahoma, and California; participating in proposal development and capture strategy for new business and re-competitions; creating innovative approaches to increase student outcomes; designing and delivering training programs; conducting on-site evaluations and providing just-in-time feedback to improve operations; and developing and maintaining positive relationships with various levels within the Federal and State governments.

Overseeing day-to-day and evening operations of the Center. Responsible for achieving high performance, maintaining capacity, operating within budget, and providing outstanding customer service. Oversight of all operations including education and training, social development, administration, property, security, safety, transportation, health and wellness, student conduct, placement, recruitment, maintenance, information technology, and food services. Provide direction and leadership to Senior Leadership team and Operations Management team. Maintaining a positive normative culture for all students and staff.

Overseeing the education and training departments at six (6) Job Corps centers in the eastern region. Providing ongoing technical assistance in the areas of GED/HSD attainment, literacy attainment, numeracy attainment, vocational completions, and credential attainment. Completing annual Corporate Office Center Assessments at all sites. Acting Executive Director (Loring & Penobscot). May 2010-January 2011. Duties included: Providing oversight and meeting the technical assistance needs of the Loring Job Corps Center and Penobscot Job Corps Academy and ensuring adherence to all National and Regional issuances. Acting Academy Director, Penobscot Job Corps Academy. September 2010-December 2010; May 2011-October 2011. Establishing structure and continuity to operations in preparation for the permanent Academy Director and focusing on outcomes.
