As a Program Director I am responsible for all medical education and medical communication initiatives for a key account in haematology/oncology. I head up a team of program managers, medical communication managers and program coordinators who manage the day-to-day management of the projects and who are in close contact with our customers to ensure the projects run smoothly and meet our customers’ objectives. In my team we cover a large variety of projects, both event based and enduring materials. Examples of enduring materials are training manuals, web-based education projects, core slide decks, product monographs, congress summaries, booth materials and newsletters. The event- based projects cover a large scope ranging from logistical management of advisory boards to the scientific management satellite symposia to full organization of multiple day standalone events. I support my team by advising them on day to day management and by supporting them in their development. I review developed materials to ensure these meet our customers’ requirements and scientific messages. I liaise with the customer team to support and advise them on the implementation of medical communication and education tactics as part of their brand strategy.
