Co-ordinating the DES-funded PDMT (Postgraduate Diploma for Mathematics Teaching) programme based in the EPI-STEM Centre, University of Limerick with 7 partner institutions nationwide which supports and co-ordinates over 400 students currently. The PDMT Programme has run since 2012 in UL. Main point of contact for students, schools, HEIs, external bodies involved with the PDMT programme. Project managing and organising campus wide events for post-primary teachers and ensuring teachers needs are met through their studies on the PDMT programme. Working on STEM education projects running in the School of Education and EPI-STEM Centre, UL such as final year projects, and the ERASMUS Plus project with 11 partner countries lead by Dr. Niamh O’Meara, UL. Member of UL School of Education Equality and Diversity Committee.Currently working on publications in area of Gender in STEM education, female students confidence in STEM Subjects and influences in the uptake of STEM subejcts.

Pensions administrator dealing with day-to-day queries of current UL Staff members, retired members of staff and new joiners. Report running, meetings with staff and external bodies, training in new staff team members. Day to day administration of costing, statements, running projects and pension queries for UL staff and retired members. Main point of contact for internal and external communications. Problem solving daily along with using mathematical equations in a fast-paced environment where responsibilities lay in ensuring members understood their pension entitlements and preparing for retirement. Dealing with family law cases with members and external parties.

Research assistant in the EPI*STEM Centre in the University of Limerick worked on outreach projects for post-primary students. Created resources and workshops for upskilling Science and Mathematics teachers in post-primary schools in Ireland funded by the HEA. Conducting mixed-methods research on STEM Education and post primary teachers and students. Supported teachers and students in this role with various projects. Reports for industry on impact of WiSTEM2D Programme also completed.

Held post of Women in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Manufacturing, Design (WiSTEM2D) Programme Coordinator. This entailed organising events, budgeting, using Agresso software, working with and teaching undergraduate students, researching gender equality initiatives, attending seminars & conferences, progressing as a professional in research and as an educator. Scheduling meetings, aiding with projects in the EPI-STEM centre. Aided with judging of Science Blast Primary Schools competition. Invigilation for exams in UL and exams run with EPI-STEM Centre throughout 2018/19. Helped design and finish display area in centre. Building and maintaining relationships with internal bodies in UL and external companies to a high standard. Member of SFi funded STEMChAT project in supporting and guiding post primary teachers and students in relation to the importance of role models and mentorship in gender equality and increasing interest in STEM Subjects with students from a variation of backgrounds. Team member of School of Education Athena Swan Comittee. Branded as STEM Expert by Lero and giving talks on Gender Equality in STEM education. Worked on Irish Independent Science Scope Supplements in 2018 and 2019. Member of DES Funded Gender Balance team where a Systematic Literatrue Review was conducted.

Substitute teacher for Technology, Technical Gprahics, Mathematics and Resource Teachers in 2017/2018/2019.

4th Year School Placement: This 10 week placement consisted of teaching 1st Years, 2nd Years, Transition Years & 5th Year groups in Metalwork, Technical Graphics & Engineering. Engaged in Team-Teaching weekly with exam year classes. Involved with the VEX Robotics challenge and brought a group of students to the challenge in CIT. Achieved an A1 on this placement.Continued with Substitute work after placement.

Second Year School Placement: This 6-week placement consisted of teaching students of first & 2nd Year class groups in Metalwork & Technical Graphics. Ensured the learning environment was positive & managed well. Ensured students were reaching their full potential throughout lessons. Building good relationships with staff and students was one of my main priorities. Continuously demonstrated safe and appropriate practice with a confident ability to link theory & practice.
