Worked as a Water Tech lll, performing maintenance, repairs, & installation for public and private water systems within the state. Was DRC for 7 small water systems. Duties include state sampling requirements, performing routine maintenance within water systems. Worked as a Water Operator ll. Primarily working in customer service and maintenance of the public water system. Working with a AMR system for commercial, industrial, and domestic meter reads. Performing installation, trouble shooting, and new meter install from 3/4-2” water meters. Other duties assigned were disconnects, turn on of water services, along with high and low pressure concerns. Frequently performed utility locates. Corresponded and coordinated with engineers and contractors regarding water hydraulic modeling/flow testing for new construction and city infrastructure. Built, installed and tested back-flow assemblies for hydrant meters upon new construction. Was responsible in updating, and implementing the Cities water system flushing program. Created flow chart for lateral and unilateral flushing. Identifying areas of high and low pressure to coincide with flow rates during system flushing. Was our water department representative for our city Safety Committee., Developed, implemented and trained crews on a (EWDS) Emergency Water Distribution System, developed through a future need of an emergency or natural causes that could have impact for a public water outage. Worked with public agencies throughout the metropolitan area, coordinating efforts for training, and public education. Integrating similar systems hosted by other public municipalities.

Held position as Utility Locater, then as Lead Locater in Oregon City Office. Contracted with Portland General Electric, Northwest Natural Gas, Comcast, & Qwest/ Century Link to perform utility locates. I was responsible for overseeing all utility locater work loads, scheduling of contractors, and field quality assurance for utility locaters. I provided training to new employees, as needed.
